Happy New Year!
I hope this blog post meets you just before you put on the finishing touches of your 2024 planning. And if it doesn’t, I strongly encourage you to use the energy this New Beginning energy to chart your path forward.
Who Will You Be In 2024?
When I first started thinking about my message to you for the New Year. I wanted to share something that you would be able to implement fairly quickly and something that would make a meaningful impact.
Around this time, we speak about goals, or setting INTENTIONS, and while all those are great starting points, sometimes we forget an important aspect of making changes.
Here’s what I mean… What you have achieved, where you are spiritually, mentally, emotionally, personally, financially, and professionally, are direct results of WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON.
The identity that is First name / Friend got you to where you are today.
So why is it important for 2024, and what does this have to do with your goals and intentions?
If you want to change and achieve something different, you have to embody those characteristics or the IDENTITY of someone who has those things!
For example, if I want to eat more healthily and lose some weight, then I need to ASSUME THE IDENTITY of someone more health conscious. So, I may research or ask my health-conscious friends about their lifestyles or habits. Then, implementing such habits. So that I can IDENTIFY the type of person who is healthy and maintains a balanced weight.
I’m Leaving You With This
As you read this message, I would like you to think about the identity of the person you need to be, which will get you to whatever that goal or intention. Because the fact is, you cannot bring the 2023 version of you into 2024 and expect a different result. If you truly want to make 2024 your best year, or as some would say, “New Year, New Me”, consider deeply shifting your identity to become the more successful, healthy, happy, loving version of yourself.
I hope this resonates with you and that before you write all your goals or INTENTIONS, you will truly implement the shifting of your identity concept.
