My Top 7 Secrets to Success

Oftentimes we see the external successes of others but we have no idea what are the internal workings that got them there. Yes, what you see outwardly, is usually done by lots of inner work and a constant shifting of the mind. I’ve come to realize that success is a mindset!  

So I wanted to share with you what I think are some of the top “internal mechanisms” that have allowed me to be successful personally and professionally. Let me know in the comments which one resonated with you and which ideas we both have in common.

𝟏. 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐫𝐞 – Always be on the quest of self-discovery, understanding WHO you are, and the WHY behind WHAT you do helps you. For when you understand what drives and motivates you you become unstoppable. And you are not limited to the projections and the limitations others may try to impose on you.

𝟐. 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 – Learning is sexy, it opens up your mind, challenges your beliefs, sparks creativity and innovation and it is one the easiest ways to add value professionally. Learn but Execute!

𝟑. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬 – So often we dwell on our weaknesses or what I call our areas of opportunity and yes that’s okay. But Amplify and find ways to “Big Up” what is working for you, those natural God-given gifts and abilities.

𝟒. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 – It’s about You vs You. I focus on how I can be better, not better than anyone in particular but better than the woman I was the day before. It’s not about perfection. But it’s about knowing who I am now and the woman I want to become and going after that with everything I’ve got.

𝟓. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 – It is the right thing to do! As well as consider this, your act of kindness may be the one good thing that person encountered on that particular day. Be Kind Always!

𝟔. 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐲- Reflection is one of the tools I use to facilitate my growth. Reflection with the intention of doing better the next time around rather than beating up yourself is a great way to grow and continuously improve.

𝟕. 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 – I’m not here to preach or tell you what to do. But I can tell you when I started paying attention to my inner being, my consciousness expanded. I am by no means a saint, but taking the time to cultivate and connect with spirit daily keeps me focused and grounded. In him, I live and move and have my being! (Acts 17:28) What about you?
